Day 0: Shotgun
Day 0 Shotgun is the ideal starting point for new shooters and first-time students who want to unlock the true potential of the shotgun as a defensive firearm. For centuries, the shotgun has earned its reputation as a reliable fight-stopper, yet it’s often misunderstood or dismissed as a simple “beginner’s gun.” In reality, a well-trained shooter can make the shotgun one of the most versatile, accurate, and powerful firearms available for personal and home defense.
This 1-day defensive shotgun course focuses on two essential skills every shotgun owner must master:
Patterning and performance testing – discover how your specific shotgun, barrel, and ammunition perform so you can make informed choices for defensive use.
Efficient reloading and weapon management – build confidence in keeping your shotgun loaded, running, and ready under pressure.
Whether your goal is protecting your home, improving your firearms training foundation, or gaining confidence with a defensive shotgun, this course will give you the knowledge and practical experience needed. Students leave with the skills to move beyond “point and pray” and begin running their shotgun with precision and purpose.
Note: This event may require an additional range fee due on the first day (Cash Only). See class locations below for details.
